Embed the Website Menu on your own site

The Website Menu (/menus/website) is the surface that leaves your building. It renders your live beer list on a public site, whether BevWerk hosts that site or you do.

Installing it on a site you already run

The Website Menu page includes Installation Instructions — the snippet to place wherever you want the menu to appear on your own site.

That snippet is the whole point. Your site keeps its own design, navigation, and hosting, and the beer list inside it comes from BevWerk. Nobody has to remember to update a webpage when a keg changes, because there is no separate copy to update.

Choosing what visitors see

Several options are specific to a public audience:

  • Timestamp — show when the list last updated, which tells a visitor the page is live rather than a forgotten screenshot.
  • Highlight Taps — draw attention to particular pours.
  • Glass Names and Glass Sizes — how pour options are described.
  • Menu Categories — how beers are grouped for someone scanning.
  • Columns, Font Face, Global Font Size, and the Color Palette — how the embedded list is laid out and styled.

The Website Menu does not offer the queued-next beverage — this surface disables it deliberately — so Up Next is a Bar Menu concern. Keg Levels are likewise not a Website Menu option; they render only where a Digital Menu template supports them.

Templates and branding

Templates provide starting layouts. Location Brand displays that location’s logo and address — useful when the embed sits on a multi-location site and a visitor needs to know which room the list belongs to. Colours come from the separate Color Palette control, not from Location Brand.

Since this menu sits inside someone else’s page design, matching your styling matters more here than on a screen you control end to end.

Why the timestamp earns its place

A public beer list is only trusted if a visitor believes it is current. The timestamp is a small thing that does a lot of work: it converts “this list might be old” into “this list was right an hour ago.” Turning it on costs nothing and answers a question every visitor silently asks.
