Run the On Tap workspace
On Tap (/beverages/on-tap) is the workspace you touch during service rather than during setup. It answers what is pouring now, what pours next, and what to do when that changes.
Now and next
Section titled “Now and next”Each tap shows what is currently On Tap and what is queued behind it as Up Next.
Queueing matters more than it sounds. A keg blows at the worst possible moment, and the difference between a thirty-second changeover and a ten-minute one is whether somebody already decided what goes on next.
Use Edit On Tap to change what is pouring and Edit Up Next to change what is queued.
Migrate Kegs
Section titled “Migrate Kegs”Migrate Kegs moves a keg from one tap to another without treating it as a new keg. The keg keeps its identity and its remaining volume, so its history stays intact and your numbers do not reset.
Reach for this when you are rearranging the tap wall rather than changing what you pour.
Reduce On Tap Volume
Section titled “Reduce On Tap Volume”Reduce On Tap Volume adjusts the remaining volume on a keg that is pouring.
This exists because reality disagrees with arithmetic. Foam-outs, a line purge, a sampling flight poured for staff, or a keg that simply held less than its stated volume all leave the system believing you have more beer than you do. Correcting the volume keeps depletion and reporting honest instead of letting an error compound until the keg blows “early.”
View Keg Breakdown
Section titled “View Keg Breakdown”The keg breakdown shows how a keg’s volume has been accounted for. When a number looks wrong, this is where you find out whether it was sales, an adjustment, or the pour size assumptions behind them.
Cask and Nitro
Section titled “Cask and Nitro”Taps marked Cask or Nitro carry that indicator here, so the pour style is visible in the workspace as well as on the menus that guests read. Those markings come from the tap itself — see Set up Taps & Taplists.
What to do next
Section titled “What to do next”- Trace a single keg’s full history in
Track kegs through distribution. - Make sure what is pouring reaches your POS in
Understand POS sync operations.
